It’s almost time for yet another year of school to start. And in honor of this, 411 Mommas has collaborated with Communities in Schools Nevada for a school supply drive at My Gym in Henderson.
411 Mommas has done another event which I was able to attend. This is their first annual back to school event and it was a huge success. This was done at My Gym which is a Children’s Fitness Center. They feature lots of activities for your little ones less than 10 years of age.
They offer classes for all ages, gymnastics camps, and you can even have parties there as well. I noticed they have different level play areas. At the time that we went, it was mostly focused for older children but in the middle of all the fun, they placed a makeshift tent for the toddlers as well. They also have available infant swings/jumperoos which is great cause it’s rare for that age group to actually participate. What I love most about My Gym is all the equipment they have for gymnastics camp such as their balance beams and pull-up bars. It’s great training for the little ones who needs to improve their balance and upper body strength.
So this event basically serves as a school supply drive for Communities in Schools Nevada. CIS is a non-profit organization that helps decrease the number of dropouts every year. Their idea is to bring resources inside a public school building in order to make these accessible and accounted for. They help fight poverty through providing supplies for school for those that could not afford it.
In collaborating with 411 Mommas at this event, CIS Nevada has accumulated all of these basic school necessities.
I am so proud to know these group of women who are very kind-hearted and empower and support each other. It was definitely a day to remember.
Here are the list of sponsors who have made this event extra special. Thank you to each and every one of you.
